ANDORRA, EXPATS, RELOCATION, TAX

Due to the high ratio of foreigners to Andorrans in the Principality, the Andorran Government has recently introduced new methods to select new residents.

Check the residency categories on the dropdown list under Residency.

On the Government Immigration website it states that residency renewals should be done before they expire and can be done during the 6 months leading up to its expiration. The resident will have to provide proof that their main residence is in Andorra and has been since the start date of their residency card, this is done with a certificate from the Comu where they live and a recent utility bill. If there have been any changes to any of the details which have not been notified, such as change of address, these must be updated during renewal with the relevant documentation.

Other requirements, for you and any family members with residencies linked to yours, for the whole period since the last renewal or since receiving the residency card(s):

  • A valid in Andorra insurance policy .

  • Proof that during your residency you have continued to have at least 300% of the minimum national yearly wage paid into an Andorran bank account every year  (plus another 100% for every dependant). At present it is your bank that will provide this for you on request.

  • In relation to residencies approved under the 350.000€ investment - Provide proof that you have maintained an investment in Andorra of at least 350.000€ throughout the whole period (for example Andorran property or Andorran Investment Products)
