The use of mobile phones whilst driving is one of the main distractions. 109 violations of this sort where detected in Andorra in 2014, fined at a little over 18€ according to the Codi de Circulació (Circulation Code). The use of mobile phones whilst driving can have serious consequences. It has been proven to multiply the risk of accidents and is comparable to drinking under the influence of alcohol.
