The Department of Territory and Sustainability, with Aeroports de Catalunya and the Catalan-Andorran company IDTR (Internacional distribucions Tramontana), a company formed by Pyrénées SL and Tramontana, have signed this past Thursday a collaboration agreement by which the company will use that airport’s installations to do tests and show its new vehicles and prototypes in development stage. Tramontana was founded in 2005 with the objective of designing and manufacturing luxury cars of superior quality.
The objective of IDTR is to make the most of the Andorra – la Seu Airport to attract International clients and use the installations as a base for tests and demos. Also, in this way, enhancing the arrival of corporate aviation to the airport (from private to air-taxis).
Aeroports de Catalunya will comes to an agreement on a calendar and time-table for the IDTR company to co-ordinate around the arrival of airplanes for the use of the air strip to do the tests and presentations of cars. In this way, the hiring of the air strip and platform will be another service offered by the airport, and with this activity it will also promote it internationally.
Aeroports de Catalunya values favourably that this company wishes to use the airport for presentations as well using it to welcome their clients. As a private aerodrome it would only have been able to rent the airport space for tests, but now as it is commercial the company can also use it as the arrival point for potential clients arriving from all over Europe, as they are coming to see exclusive cars.
