Andorra chaired the first meeting of the Joint Commission for the Management and Development of the

The Joint Commission for the Management and Development of the Andorra - La Seu d'Urgell airport met this morning for the first time under the chairmanship of Andorra. This constitutive meeting has given the starting signal for the preparation of the biennial work plan, which is expected to be completed during the first three months of this year. On January 8, the Government of Andorra and the Generalitat of Catalonia signed a protocol for the promotion and management of the Andorra - La Seu d'Urgell airport. This protocol envisaged the creation of a joint committee consisting of three representatives of each administration. The Secretary for Infrastructure and Transport of the Government of Catalonia, Ricard Font, informed the Government of Andorra on the 20th of January the appointment of three members of the joint committee for the Catalan side. These are the Director of Airports of Catalonia, Jordi Candela; Director of Airport Andorra - La Seu d'Urgell, Cristina Pastor; and the Director of the Catalan Tourism, Patrick Torrent. Andorra, for its part, recently approved the appointment of three members to the committee: Ramon Reguant, representing the Ministry of Land Management, which in turn will be the chairman of the Joint Commission for the Promotion and Management of Airport of Andorra La Seu d'Urgell; Joaquim Tòmas (Ministry of Tourism) and Nicholas Obiols (Ministry of Land Management) According to the agreement signed, the Joint Committee will be chaired by a representative of the Government of Andorra for the first year, after which it will be taken over by a Catalan representative .
