FATAL ACCIDENT IN ARINSAL
A seventeen year old british citizen lost his life after hitting a tree while skiing at Arinsal Vallnord. The news were given three hours after the accident, the coroner and the magistrate had to be taken via helicopter to the scene of the accident to certify his death. It was nearly one o'clock when a young british tourist was skiing on the track Marrades -Arinsal Vallnord, he left the track and hit a tree. As a result of the accident the young man has lost his life. Around four o'clock in the afternoon the pisters warned the firefighters of the disappearance of the youngster. The body was located a short time later. The mountain medical service, the andorran emergency medical services, firebrigade and the police rushed to the scene.
Also the senior consul of La Massana, David Baron, the Minister of Tourism, the director of the station and the British consul, Fiona Dean went to the place of the tragic accident . To reach the site of the facts was necessary an helicopter. Some relatives who were with him on vacation in the country, were in hospital awaiting for the body, which will have an autopsy today. The group of mountain police have opened an investigation to clarify the causes of the accident.
