Arrested a man with a rifle and ammunition hidden in a vehicle after skipping the customs control

The Guardia Civil have arrested a man for illegal possession of weapons after finding inside the vehicle he was driving a CETME rifle caliber 307W , 36 cartridges of ammunition, a machete and two chargers type bayonet without the required documentation. The agents wanted to stop the vehicle, the Volvo brand with Italian registration to inspect it when it was preparing to cross the border from the Forge of Moles of Andorra. The driver, a 45 Italian citizenship, ignored the signals and he fleed. Minutes later he was intercepted at kilometer 7 of the N-145 in the town of Valls. During the registration of the vehicle, officers found a hole in one of the indicators a CETME rifle and a 307W with two chargers, 36 cartridges and a machete-type bayonet and 15 cm blade. The detainee did not provide documentary proof of the origin of the weapon.

The man was arrested for alleged offenses of unlawful possession of weapons, contraband and disobedience. The investigation revealed that the weapon had been acquired in Andorra, and the man was arrested in June 2013 for the same reason, because at that time he carried a semiautomatic rifle with 50 cartridges. The weapon has been placed in the Weapons Inspection of the Guardia Civil of La Seu d'Urgell to study and analyze it to check if it it has been involved in any crime.
