Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Cologne, Juergen B. Donges, which, among other important positions in various international institutions, was president of the Economic Council of Chancellors Kohl and Schroeder and now develops advisory work for the current chancellor, Angela Merkel, defended a speech organized by MoraBanc that "we definitely came out of the recession" and that therefore "the recovery is underway." However, he added that the exit from the crisis is occurring at different speeds at continental level, "heterogeneity is a problem for the monetary union," but it can not work if it is not in a synchronized way.
