THE ONCA IN THE GARDENS OF THE CASA DE LA VALL

The ONCA’s traditional summer meeting with the Casa de la Vall gardens this year has Eduard Iniesta, composer and performer of double string instruments, as its guest soloist. Conducted by Gerard Claret, the ONCA’s concertino conductor, he will perform works created for the occasion with some of the most characteristic instruments of Mediterranean culture, such as the Greek buzuki, the tzouras, the saz and the blagamàs.

In the “Les cordes de la Mediterrània” concert, the stage is shared by fourteen of the ONCA’s strings and the Iniesta instrumental band with Robert Armengol on classical percussion, Antonio Sánchez on ethnic percussion and Miguel Ángel Cordero on the contrabass. They will all be responsible for creating the Mediterranean atmosphere at the Casa de la Vall.
