Solidarity in the 2nd Cancer Walk

Almost a thousand people assembled on Sunday morning at the parking of the Trillà d'Andorra la Vella, to participate in the 2nd cancer walk, an event that has been organized in the framework of the week against Cancer, for Assandca with the collaboration of Foundation Jaqueline Prade.

As stated by the president of the association, Josep Sarabia, this second edition, which has far exceeded the 730 people who participated in the first walk, "allows us to know everything that is done from Assandca and also shows that the Andorran people are involved and works towards this disease which can affect us all. " In relation to the sale of the solidarity t-shirts, which have a nominal fee of three euros, Sarabia said that "in the first edition 500 were sold, this year almost 1,000 units have been sold". As stated by the president of the Assandca, money from the sale of the t-shirts, about 3,000 euros, "will be used entirely to fund the travel of patients to medical centers in Barcelona." "Currently between sixty and seventy monthly trips which involve a total cost of about 1,500 euros per month," admitted Sarabia.
