The renowned Cuban pianist and composer Gonzalo Rubalcaba, considered one of the main figures of Afro Cuban jazz, will fill the Season with jazz. On Rubalcaba’s piano, he will be accompanied in a trio by Ernesto Simpson on the contrabass and Armando Gola on the drums.
Among Gonzalo Rubalcaba’s records stands out his collaboration with the mythical Blue Note. He has also taken part in recordings by Issac Delgado, Juan Luis Guerra, Francisco Céspedes, and Charlie Haden, to name but a few.
Date and place: Saturday 13 February 2016, at 9:30 p.m. Congress Centre.
